I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
