19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev won his first trophy for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has endured a torrid season, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and undergoing a setback at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serving in especial - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately splitting with long-term trainer Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, he has steadily progressed in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought three-set victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents his initial trophy after the Rome competition and maiden on a hard surface from March of 2023.
The win also means the Russian has won 21 championships at twenty-one distinct events.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a title is really nice," said ranked player the champion.
"This victory is in honour of my child Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my child Alisa was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and frequent reactions on the playing surface had prompted commentators to wonder if his capacity to compete at the top level was over.
However the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the last few weeks, making an effort to approach the net and perform positively, backed up by an improved serving game.
He recovered from a break down in the opening set against the difficult opponent, securing four of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden tour victory, gained dominance to push for a third set.
He defended four initial chances in a tight final set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to secure the win.
Fittingly, he earned victory with a rally at the net, with his opponent failing to control a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
